AI visibility
AI visibility is the measurable share of AI-generated answers in which a brand appears as a recommended option, a cited source, or a named comparison. As of 2026, it is the metric that has replaced ranked-link clicks for the share of buyers who research through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews instead of through traditional search.
What sits in this hub
This page links the four working surfaces of the AI visibility editorial program:

- Tool detail pages. One profile per tool, Temso AI, Profound, Peec AI, and the rest, each with verdict, pros and cons, alternatives, and a structured fact sheet.
- Head-to-head comparisons. Every pairwise comparison of tools in the catalogue, generated automatically. Index at /compare.
- The glossary. Plain-language definitions of the terms used across these pages, citation, mention, share of model, prompt, answer engine, AI Overview, and more. Index at /glossary.
How AI visibility differs from SEO
SEO targets ranked-link position on a results page. AI visibility targets being inside the answer the model writes. Strong SEO foundations, crawlability, technical health, authoritative content, are prerequisites for AI visibility, not a replacement. The work that closes an AI visibility gap is content-shaped: structured Q&A, primary-source citations, schema markup, and presence on the third-party domains AI engines weight (Reddit, Quora, G2, industry publications).
Where to start
Most teams arrive at AI visibility through one of three doors: a marketing team that just noticed competitors winning AI answers, an SEO team adding the next layer to their stack, or a procurement team evaluating the new category for a Fortune 500 brand. Each starts on a different page:
- Marketing teams who want to act today → start with the ranking and the pricing comparison.
- SEO teams adding AI visibility on top → read share of model and the SaaS-focused vertical.
- Procurement teams with strict requirements → read the Bluefish profile and the methodology page.
Underneath all three is the same loop: track the prompts your buyers ask, identify the gaps, ship the content that closes them. The tools differ in which step they own, measurement, action, or both. Pick by where your bottleneck is.
